I made some updates to the site to make it easier to find stuff. Also added some work and a new splash screen.
I've also updated my Flickr with some new images from a trip I took to Thailand earlier this year. Still an ongoing series.
I got the honor to join my friend Jennika Ojala for an interview with Swedish rock band Graveyard for their upcoming album Innocence & Decadence for Crank It Up Magazine. Check it out! Interview in Swedish.
I've been mulling this project over for quite some time. I finally decided to share some of it here on my website. The thought of this project is to shed some light on mental illnesses and try to translate how it feels through imagery. It can be a very cold, dark and lonely place. That's why I decided to name the project Neglected Space, since it's something a lot of people struggle with today but aren't comfortable talking about.
I've created a new page for just projects like this one. I'll be adding more as soon as new projects spring to mind.
I've also updated the Portraits-section.
Yesterday I had the honor and privilege to be Patric & Monika's wedding photographer. It was a fun and intense experience. I wish them all the best in their future together!
Today I got to do a very interesting shoot for an upcoming project with a band. More news on that soon!
This summer I had the opportunity to work with my friends in the Gothenburg based band Bellaroush and make a music video for them. The song Nothing Wrong really spoke to me and I knew I had to do a video for it. The result is now here to feast your eyes upon!
The video first premiered on Swedish music site Gaffa.se. You can read the full story >here< (Link in Swedish).
Check it out and then listen to their latest album which they released earlier this year.
My name is Rickard Olausson and this is my home on the interwebs. I finally got my photography site together and thought it'd be fun to start a blog as well. Here I'll try to share my thoughts on my work and other interesting (or uninteresting) things that I may or may not come across.
